the margate big wash out
had breakfast with maximum and z at the windshack cafe in minnis bay, which is becoming a summertime habit of mine.
then spent a while playing on the swings and climbing frames with them.
there was no-one else there but us.
'twas the margate big day out in...margate.
two years ago i took the sons to see an awesome eurofighter display there, just out to sea in front of the cliffs.
it was amazing
the sons didn't notice as they were bored and had their backs turned to it.
this time they paid attention but the typhoon wasn't there: just a tornado.
still quite an incredible machine.
sunshine and heavy showers.
typical day at the english seaside.
people watched on wearing waterproofs and under umbrellas.
nighttime in the daytime
had a blast on the dodgems.
mrs.perou and maximum getting told off for driving the wrong way round the circuit.
z immediately walked face first into the first glass wall he came to in the mirror maze and got his money back.
played crazy golf together (i LOVE crazy golf and have played almost everywhere i've been, including zimbabwe, new york and tokyo) along from the lido at clifftonville.
did not eat dinner at 'the eaterie: milk bar and grills'
returned home for dinner at our local pub: a saturday night treat: wild and crazy times indeed.
thinking about returning to clifftonville for a night out at 'frank's nightclub' looks like it's really happening and super chic.
thinking about buying the flat above it on a creditcard too: somewhere to crash out after a night out at frank's: class.
