for christmas i finally gave z the meer cat toy that he saw me buy 6 months ago and hadn't forgotten.
i'd hidden it in my cupboard with some old shoes, to keep it out of sight.

z was very happy to get the meer cat toy for christmas but he said it smelt funny.

i said, 'meer cats can't help the way they smell: same as stratrford and ludwig' (our dogs).

last night z had a bad nose bleed and in the middle of the night mrs.perou got up to sort him out.
after cleaning him up, she passed him the meer cat

half asleep, z said, 'it's not his fault he smells mummy: it's nature'
