my friend (and sometimes guv'nor) ben
an early start at the dark and cold 33 portland place: a location house in central london.
this is where i have previously shot the actor adrian lester, the cricketer kevin pietersen and where several scenes from 'the king's speech' were filmed.
it is also a 'party venue'
seems the parties are occasionally of a 'dubious nature'.
the large jacuzzi with the cloudy water in a basement room also featuring open plan showers and 'seating' was quite disgusting.
as was the sofa that i sat on which stank of vomit.
not a salubrious location: a once great building slipping/slipped from glory.
shot the press and posters for the stage production of 'the king's speech' between 33 portland place and the ballroom at 'the langham hotel' (which was MUCH grander.
party hard
an assistant /ex-assisant sandwich aka: some ghosts of christmas past and the ghost of christmas present.
L-R: maria, melinda, some muppet with a double chin, frances (and honorary assistant for the night: catherine: frances' twin sister)
shoreditch house was HEAVING on half-price, yoof-club mondays for under 27's.
avoided the carol singing on the 5th floor (bbbbaaaaaaahhhhh humbug) and instead ate and drank on the roof (again).
a very pleasant evening.
back to sister emma's in chiswick late/early (depending on your optimistic/pessimistic perspective on life)
