our hotel is a bling n'ting thing
after a customary 2hr sludge through a traffic jam from the airport
check in and crash out for 3 hours
interrupted regularly by hotel staff, checking in on my unwell being

there is a massive amount of new building going on.
including right outside my window.
in fact, looking out of my window looks straight into the cab of a crane operating outside.
i try not to do a 'life of brian' drawing back the curtains naked moment.
at 4.30pm i meet the rest of the crew and relocate to the amazing saxon hotel, where i scout locations, drink champagne, have a 90 minute hot stone massage and eat dinner.
this is how the other .0005% live.
in so doing, i feel a little like a blagger: that this is not my life...but then again i'm here and doing it, so it is.
for tonight at least.
this is a very different trip to africa, than my last visit to mukuru with oxfam.
