...a blue spotted ribbontail ray

maximum spotted...
(not to be confused with a blue spotted stingray)
close to endangered due to the degradation of coral reefs and it can inflict a mighty 'excruciating wound'.
glad we didn't piss it off.

came out of the water like a salted prune, in time to meet mrs.perou and z from the boat back from koh samui

z
they'd been having a mini-adventure /nightmare getting back: avoiding dubious help from several dodgy, different sources.
z is BACK and already fighting with maximum again.
funny how quickly you can forget how much you were missing someone: how worried you were about their wellbeing.
apart from the stitches and scar, he seems oblivious to how he's had people worrying about him all over the world.
but i have read him all his well wishes.
and thankyou everybody again for these.
i'm sure they shortened his expected 3 day stay in hospital.
thankfully we have annual travel insurance for the family: 1 night in hospital here inc. a 1 way speed boat came to just over £1500
(gotta love the NHS).
my diving rescheduled.
tomorrow there is mini-golf on the cards.
i LOVE mini-golf: i've played in some of the most unexpected countries in the world
