stooped at a 'ross dress for less' to buy a $4 long sleeve shirt to cover up my burnt arm and neck.

my spanish lady friend is laughing at me because i look like the kind of bad suit (wearing a stripey formal shirt) i like to belittle.

i think i can pull it off.

but given the two tone state of my face, i probably can't.

pick up my friends chris campion and masumi

spend an hour on a gas station forecourt trying to buy some gas for the car.

had been leaving my spanish lady friend to speak spanish to the man making all the nuisance.

finally flipped and intervened going 'i'm going to get a f***ing sleeping bag and we'll all spend the night here'

the spanish speaking man begs my spanish lady friend to return tomorrow with $60 cash.

i hope he is not holding his breath.

eventually relocate to 'chez jay' in santa monica: a great bar/diner favoured by dennis wilson and frank sinatra, back in their days.

after dinner walked to the end of the boardwalk and watched people fishing for seaweed while seals dodged their lines.

stopped back in hollywood for drinks on the roof of soho house LA.

returned my friends to their hillside retreat and returned ourselves to beverly hills across mulholland drive with the valley twinkling below.

a long full day but another good one.
