first bit of sunshine:

had a meeting off wilshire then changed out of my suit and boosted north up the pacific coast highway towards san francisco, on a mini-adventure...but not in a mini: in a luxury riding lincoln MKX.

i love a road trip, me.

stopped at 'sea cliffe' and had a swim in some big, cold pacific waves.

realised we were swimming with a pod of dolphins RIGHT where we were.

AMAZING!

(several of my californian friends have subsequently said 'oh yeah: we've all swum with dolphins: see 'em all the time)

was happy to know the difference between dolphin fins and shark fins.

fell asleep on my side, on the beach after swimming and woke up sunburnt over just half my face and body.

half of me is red but i look ridiculous all over.

if i only approach people from an angle, no-one will ever notice (?)

stopped a couple more times on the way to st louis obispo.

i LOVE this run up the west coast.

would love to live on a beach house somewhere this way.

it's stunning.

steak and cocktails in the pink and gold dining room of the madonna inn, with a great live band and old people, 'old thyme' dancing.

slept in a room made of rock, with a waterfall shower.
