unhappy mother day
at 1am mrs.perou woke me up saying she was going to sleep upstairs because she'd been throwing up and didn't want me to catch what she has.
instead i went and slept upstairs.
mrs.perou carried on throwing up in our en-suite, all night
happy mothers' day
sweating but cold, nauseous with a headache.
poor mrs.perou
:(

maximums present to mummy
for those of you equally afflicted with failing eyes, it reads:
"i love you mum
laying lunch and dinner i appreciate.
over the moon you make me.
very beautiful you are
enjoying every moment i share with you.
you'r the best mum in the world.
over the sun you make me.
utterly the greatest mum.
many happy memories we have together.
understanding, caring, helpful.

i am also ill.

thing 1
i blame my spanish lady friend who was following me round focus, blowing her nose like a trumpet.
i hope it's just a head cold.
normally, at this point i would retire to bed.
but there were two sons to entertain /occupy / stop from fighting loudly.

the secret door
z's first novel.
he's one paragraph in...and has been for several weeks now.
i totally LOVE this cover though
<-- the door
there was a discussion about our dogs today.
overheard maximum saying 'ludwig is the one with a nasty streak'
and z replying, 'think how ludwig feels: it's not his fault he's french'
to my french friends and ancestors, i have to say, i'm not sure quite where this xenophobia comes from?
it's not something they've learnt at home.

mrs.perou is on a jelly and custard diet today.
although she did manage some mashed swede and gravy at lunch.
hopefully we'll all be back to full health tomorrow.
there's a lot going on at the bunker this week...
