its a shit job but someone's got to do it

reminded me so much of being 14 yrs old, working at the local manor house (pre-butler) stuffed up in the false ceilings, lagging pipes with rock wool.

in those days i was paid 80p and hour and only had 'safety goggles' and a mask....maybe gloves(?)

wore t-shirt and jeans and spent days afterwards itching.

one pitch (of two) was insulated in 1995

the other had zero insulation (if you don't count pigeon shit and sawdust) until today

but one likes to throw shapes in one's winter wear

had to abandon the safety glasses: kept steaming up and couldn't see ANYthing

had to gaffa tape my own wrists and ankles

now i got pink, itchy eyes
