decided that instead of temporarily fixing the old water main to the new/old house we should put in the new water main

pulled up some of the york -paving, carefully

dug an 11m trench, 2.6' deep (mixing imperial and metric, i know) under the shallow toilet drains capped with concrete.

from house to street

quite a mission.

finished in the dark but that made breaking though (to the other side) easier to see.

in the house that keeps on giving, as we uncover more, more to do is revealed

but i am bouyant, unusually

hard labour makes me happy: it's easy: there are no creative challenges to digging hole.
