bless this (new/old) house

while i was painting the plinths (white) i built for jesus and mary, sons suggested we position them in the windows

spent a further while painting more things white

then got to some retouching

spent a while getting some new blisters on my fingers, digging out the most stubborn weed tree root and eventually called 1-800-INEEDSAM who came over with his shearings legs and block and tackle and pulled out said root with minimum effort.

i also went down a manhole and cleared out the drain little, wearing waders and yellow marigolds

perhaps this would have been a more entertaining picture of the day

but no photos were allowed
