this hideous memorial still stands in west london

the morning it happened i was photographing james blunt falling into a swimming pool

i will always remember

like how i was photographing johnny vegas being 'funny' while the twin towers in NY were falling

we stopped the shoot and watched it live on the studio tv

then had to carry on after

i drove by the westway, two mornings after the grenfell fire and the tower was still smoking

couldn't bring myself to photograph it then

still uncomfortable seeing it now

RIP all those who died there

and justice for the survivors and families
