dismaland

left our B&B in glastonbury early

and drove to weston super mare for banksy & co's 'dismaland bemusement park' art show

got there for 8am knowing doors didn't open till 11am

knowing that we didn't have tickets but we could get some on the door if we were first-isn in line

not knowing they wouldn't think about letting us in till 1pm

at 11am the doors opened all the ticket holders went in and someone came out to tell us that we'd have to wait till 1pm before the first 100 people in the queue MIGHT get in.

half an hour later (after 4 hours queuing) two fire trucks turned up and it looked like dismaland was closing and all our queuing in the rain was for nothing

but

another hour later we were let in

5 hrs queuing in the rain

truly dismal

the awful twat, property developer, a few people behind us that shouted about how great he was the entire time ALMOST had me explain a few things to him quietly

but i was on a pyscho-theray field trip: practical exercises in patience and controlling (my) EGO

i've never queued before

i was quite humbling
