so near so spar
the view this morning as i climbed 100m up to get le pain.
breathtakingly beautiful here.
but very, very cold

drop out
maximum is actually enjoying himself more than me (despite appearances here)
i LOVE skiing but i am HATING my ski school lessons every morning: 10am-12.30pm
i am fairly convinced my scottish ski instructor is trying to kill me.
i am bottom of my level 3 class and keep crashing spectacularly.
maybe going through levels 1 and 2 would have been prudent.
after all this is only my 14th day on skis
i crashed at the top of 'kamikaze' this morning, leaving my skis and poles at the top and tumbled / slid to the bottom in a cloud of snow.
no way of returning for them: someone was kind enough to ski them down to me.
strangely, i have pulled my back.
for those of you that remember, last year i came skiing WITH a bad back, self-medicating on ibruprofen and paracetemol and came home with a fixed back.
this time i have destroyed my back and am self medicating on cuprofen and strange french cidre (from the tap and served in a tea cup).
mrs.perou and sons are all enjoying their ski lessons.
depending how my back is tomorrow i might be dropping out of school

the blue skies are coming
love it that it's still gorgeous sun here despite the snow.
at home it would undoubtedly be grey and dismal
