manila GET READY
-3º at the farm but toasty in the orifice.
frenetic retouching / packing / finding of photos for the talk (in manila on saturday)
then DTT.
mad heavy traffic moving very slowly.
made it to my meeting 10 minutes before time to get a phonecall cancelling the meeting.
normally this would upset me (aka. piss me off) hugely BUT the meeting was cancelled because the guy's girlfriend had collapsed in the street and he was on his way to hospital.
:(
very valid reason.
i once (only ever once) cancelled an afternoon shoot in the morning when i was in hospital with maximum when he was a baby.
the person at the magazine i was working for said that it was totally unacceptable and i was very unprofessional, that i couldn't just phone up and say 'i can't do it' and that i would never work for her magazine again.
i very calmly spelled it our for this childless bitch: 'i'm sorry. you didn't hear me: i'm in h.o.s.p.i.t.a.l on a pediatric emergency ward with my 10month old son. i will not be able to shoot this afternoon and i don't care if i ever shoot for your magazine again'
minutes later i got a call from another lady on the magazine apologising for their colleague's inappropriate conduct and wished maximum well.
job's just a job: family is MUCH more important.
RTF to say goodnight and see you in 10 days to sons.
early night for an early departure
